Meeting with the community
Another important exercise – or a huge challenge – was to meet with the local public community within the project site. A public hearing was held in Al Mina at the project location, and a number of residents, in addition to the officials from the Municipality, attended the event.

Construction Phase (street furniture phase):
Fabricated at BAU-Tripoli Campus (Digital modeling and fabrication lab)
This was the most exciting phase, and was divided into three stages: building, preparation and finalising.
The first stage was to design and construct in-house benches with flower boxes that would be used in the project site. Since the participating youths did not have the necessary construction skills, as more time would have been needed to develop these skills, a joint venture project with BAU undergraduate students of the third level was organised, in order to produce the final benches within the execution design III course. This meant that the youths were also exposed to the construction techniques.
