Model making Skills

Another essential skill in visualisation is using physical models. This was the youths’ first time modelling an idea. The main aim of the exercise was to be able to work in groups, select appropriate materials and colours, and finish it on time.

Design proposals

The youths were gathered in groups to develop their design ideas (for the real project) using physical models with simple materials. The outcome was six different alternatives. The youths were encouraged to design their own street furniture and define applicable activities within the given space of the project.

Surrounding context model

This model was constructed to provide an overview for the participating youths so that they could understand the surrounding context of the project site. All the 30 participants shared in building this model with a scale of 1:4000m.
